Bar 44 Penarth – Bar 44 was founded by two brothers, Tom and Owen Morgan, in 2002. Over the course of the past 20 years, the Bar 44 Group has grown organically into one of the leading Spanish hospitality companies in Britain. The focus at Bar 44 is on impeccably sourced ingredients served simply with a modern touch and a whole load of passion from their kitchen and front of house teams.
Asador 44 Cardiff – Opened in 2017, Asador 44 brings traditional northern Spanish ‘asador’- style cooking to Cardiff. The restaurant focuses on the traditional chargrilling of meats found in the northern regions of the country such as Galicia. This means locally-sourced, chargrilled meat, fish and vegetables take centre stage on the menu, all cooked on a custom-built wood fire charcoal grill.

Owen Morgan is Chef, Food and Beverage Director of the award-winning 44 Group of tapas restaurants, bars and a hotel. Owen was the Winner of the UK Restaurant Personality of the Year at the annual Imbibe Awards and was chosen to speak on stage at the International Copa Jerez forum in 2019, being flown out alongside one of the worlds most celebrated chefs, Josep Roca.
