Estrella Galicia awarded with the Silver medal at the International Beer Challenge

We have some great news to share with you!

Our ranges of 1906 Reserva Especial beers and Estrella Galicia 0,0% have been awarded with silver places at this year’s International Beer Challenge.

These awards add to the list of recognition for the quality of our products, together with the World Beer Awards and World Beer Challenge, received by our 1906 Reserva Especial and 1906 Black Coupage this year as well.erva Especial and 1906 Black Coupage beers have won the silver medal at the lager category.

1906 Reserva Especial combines brewing tradition, a unique character and the best ingredients to create an elegant lager with pleasant roasted notes. Brewed by our Brewmasters in the only Company’s brewery placed in A Coruña, the 1906 is one of the longest-matured Spanish lagers.

1906 Black Coupage is a black strong lager marked by coffee and liquorice notes provided by the coupage of four malts, which gives this beer its character. It is brewed using our traditional methods: best ingredients, long maturing time, and passion for the excellence.

Our Estrella Galicia 0,0 also landed the silver medal at the No or Low Alcohol category.

Estrella Galicia 0,0, our alcohol free beer with all the flavour of Estrella Galicia lager. Prepared with A Coruña’s city water, two row-barley malt (Pilsen and roasted), maize and Nugget and Perle hops, this refreshing beer is brewed using the “interrupted fermentation” technique, which allows to maintain all the beer’s character with 0,0% alcohol.

The aim for the IBC is to reward and promote excellent beers from around the globe providing brewers with a platform to express their beers to trade and consumers. That’s why we are so excited for this recognition of our products.
